AUSTIN, Texas, May 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Superconductor Technologies Inc. (“STI,” the “Company,” “we,” “our” or “us”) (NASDAQ: SCON) today announced completion of its previously announced underwritten public of 1,700,000 shares of its common stock for total gross proceeds of $1.7 million.
The offering was priced at $1.00 per share of common stock. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
The Company also granted the underwriter a 45-day option to purchase up to 255,000 additional shares of common stock, at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions.
A shelf registration statement on Form S-3 (Registration No. 333-228676) relating to the public offering of the shares of common stock described above was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and was declared effective on December 11, 2018.
